The Hankook Optimo H418 tire is a grand touring, all-season tire with long tread-life developed for sedans, minivans and crossover vehicles. The Hankook Optimo H418 tire is engineered to offer predictable handling and year-round traction, even in light snow. This tire features an all-season compound molded into a symmetric, independent block tread design (featuring either two or three circumferential grooves depending on the size) which provides traction on dry, wet and light snow-covered roads. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by a nylon cap ply in the higher speed rated sizes. These belts help to stabilize the tread area for a broad flat contact patch with the road that does not deform at higher speed. There is also an extra polyester cord body ply under the nylon cap ply to help cushion the ride and deliver added comfort for the driver and passengers.
