Historical Trend: What Tires Easy Shoppers Paid
Source: Sales Price · Jan 2023 forwardIn October 2026, Tires Easy shoppers paid an average of $220.16 per Premium-tier tire and $127.45 per Value-tier tire, after promotions. This trend reflects both price changes and shifts in which tires customers chose, so it is not an index.
Why the Tire Price Index Is a Useful Market Indicator
Tire prices can vary significantly by tire type, size, brand tier and vehicle fitment, making it hard to see how replacement tire prices change over time. The Tires Easy Tire Price Index provides a consistent way to track those changes using pricing data from a large online tire retailer serving drivers across the continental U.S.
Founded in 2004, Tires Easy has sold more than 8 million tires and offers more than 200 brands through a network of more than 1,800 supplier warehouses and distribution centers in all 48 contiguous states. The Tire Price Index draws on Tires Easy's own pricing data and a defined basket of more than 24,000 tire products across 13 categories and Value and Premium price tiers. By tracking a consistent basket over time, the Index helps distinguish actual price movement from changes in the products available for sale.
The TPI reflects Tires Easy's own pricing data and should be interpreted within that context. It is not intended to measure every tire transaction in the United States or represent the entire U.S. replacement tire market.
How it works, in brief. The Index compares the list price of the same tire products month to month across a stable basket, reconstituted each January and July. All 13 categories are weighted by Tires Easy unit sales. Previously published values are never revised. Full methodology →
