The Latitude Alpin LA2 tire is a SUV performance winter tire developed for the drivers of all-wheel drive crossover and sport utility vehicles. It is for cold, wet, snow-covered and icy driving conditions. On dry roads, the Latitude Alpin LA2 tire blends good ride comfort and responsive handling with wintertime traction on snow and ice. It feature Michelin's Helio Compound 3G (3rd generation sunflower oil-enriched compound) molded into a directional tread design. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wound polyamide cord to support the tread, while a polyester cord casing enhances ride comfort.

The Michelin Latitude Alpin LA2 tire has the mountain/snowflake symbol for severe snow service.
