The Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 is an ultra-high performance summer tire developed for small sporty cars, coupes and sedans that use low profile-sized tires to lift both the status and performance. It provides quick handling in both wet and dry conditions. This tire uses Michelin's Life Maximized Adherence (LMA) tread compound which is moulded into Michelin's Variable Contact Patch (VCP) asymmetrical tread design to provide certain handling and constant levels of grip during the whole tire's life.
The tire's inside structure features twin, high tensile steel belts reinforced with Michelin's Banded At Zero (BAZ) technology that is spirally wrapped to secure the tread area improving handling and high-speed efficiency. It has a rayon cord body and dual sidewall reinforcements aids to withstand lateral deflection to bring cornering power and stability.
As with all summer tires, it is not designed to be driven in snow, ice or close to freezing temperatures.
