*Models that share the same tire size and load index show identical figures. "None available" means no basket product matched that size, load index and column this month.
**Priced with light truck (LT) winter tires, the only winter tires available in this size. LT tires are built for heavier loads and usually cost more than passenger tires.
***Includes all-terrain tires with the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) severe-snow rating, which are not dedicated winter tires.
How These Costs Are Calculated
Each vehicle uses its OEM tire size from the model's base trim at model year 2024, the same 20 vehicles and fitments as the Tire Price Index, except the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (LT), which uses its confirmed alternative fitment, 265/70R17 115S. A winter tire counts as a match when it has the same size, a load index equal to or higher than the OEM tire, and a speed rating of S or higher. Winter tires often carry a lower speed rating than the tire a vehicle ships with, so the OEM speed rating is not required. Light truck (LT) tires are not included, except for the Jeep Wrangler (Sport I4): only LT winter tires are available in its size, so it is priced with LT winter tires rated Q or higher.
Non-Studded covers Winter/Snow tires in Value and Premium tiers. Studdable covers Winter Studdable tires across all tiers. Premium means industry Tier 1-2 brands and Value means Tier 3-4 brands; tier describes brand positioning and price point, not quality.
Cost of 4 = 4 × (List Price × (1 + sales tax % + recycling/disposal fee %) + installation fee). List Price is the average price listed at tires-easy.com in October 2026 across the matching styles in the Tire Price Index stable basket. Sales tax (7.78%) and recycling/disposal fee (0.68%) are weighted averages across Tires Easy sales in September 2026. Installation is $28.45 per tire, the average listed installer-partner rate at tires-easy.com/tire-installation.
