Yokohama Ice Guard IG53 is a studless winter tire made for various passenger cars, as well a mini vans. The tire offers superior handling with its 3D Triple Sipes technology that are biting edges that increase rigidity, avoid uneven deflection of blocks by supporting each other, and enhance stability for optimal ice and snow performance. New absorptive tread compound improves grip in icy conditions by removing water layer from the ice surface with its cavity shape and delivers micro-edge effects on the ice surface by keeping the car connected with the road. Yokohama’s advanced low heat generating under-tread compound increases stability and lowers fuel consumption. With directional tread pattern design, Ice Guard IG53 tire delivers greater traction and stability on surfaces with snow and ice. Yokohama Ice Guard IG53 carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and meets all required criteria to deliver performance in severe snow conditions.
