It is quieter than a mud-terrain and louder than an all-terrain, and it develops more hum as the shoulders wear. Rotate every five thousand miles and keep the alignment in spec and it stays reasonable for its full life.
Two more things. It is not 3PMSF certified, so while the aggressive blocks handle light snow and slush, it is not rated for severe winter service and should not be your only tire in a hard winter climate. And these are heavy tires, so have the set road force balanced rather than spin balanced and re-torque the lug nuts after the first fifty to a hundred miles. Most vibration complaints in this category come from a spin balance, not the tire.
