Toyo Open Country R/T Trail Tires

The Toyo Open Country R/T Trail is a rugged terrain (hybrid) tire, positioned strategically between Toyo's Open Country A/T III and the extreme Open Country M/T. It is built for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs whose owners demand an aggressive stance and deep trail bite without accepting full mud-terrain noise and rapid highway wear.

The engineering bridges trail toughness with highway stability. The tread pattern features staggered shoulder blocks and deep, wide voids that dig into sand, loose dirt, and deep mud, complemented by zigzag sipes that add extra biting edges on slippery surfaces. Between the main lugs, integrated stone ejectors continuously clear trapped gravel to prevent casing damage. On paved roads, a tighter center block section pairs with two wide circumferential grooves to rapidly channel water, shortening wet braking distances and cutting hydroplaning risk. Toyo also incorporates dual sidewall designs, allowing enthusiasts to choose the aesthetic that best matches their build.

The decision logic within the Open Country family is straightforward:

Choose the Open Country A/T III for maximum road comfort, fuel efficiency, and long mileage on daily drivers.
Choose the Open Country M/T for maximum traction in deep mud, heavy rock crawling, and jobsite use.
Choose the Open Country R/T Trail if you want the ideal balance of aggressive visual style, trail capability, and quiet highway manners.

Confirm severe snow certification (3PMSF) on your exact size before ordering, as winter coverage can vary by fitment in rugged-terrain lines.

To preserve tread smoothness and minimize pattern hum, have the set road force balanced rather than spin balanced, rotate strictly every five thousand miles, and expect a minor fuel economy penalty compared to a standard all-terrain tire.

Best-suited for: Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Ford Bronco.

Tire Best Features:

Rugged terrain hybrid design bridging all-terrain highway composure and mud-terrain trail bite.
Staggered shoulder blocks and zigzag siping maximize grip on sand, mud, and slick surfaces.
Two wide circumferential grooves deliver exceptional wet braking and hydroplaning resistance.
Integrated stone ejectors prevent gravel retention and protect the casing.
Dual sidewall aesthetic options to customize the vehicle's off-road stance.
