Atlas Force UHP 205/40R17XL 84W BSW

Atlas Force UHP Product Description

This listing is for new Atlas Force UHP 205/40R17XL 84W BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 221029390.

The Atlas Force UHP is an ultra-high-performance (UHP) all-season tire for passenger cars, coupes, and sport crossovers, backed by a 40,000-mile limited treadwear warranty on standard replacement fitments. It is engineered for drivers who want sharp steering response and broad large-wheel size coverage at an accessible value price.

The tread features an asymmetric performance pattern that separates cornering stability from wet-weather safety. Rigid outer shoulder blocks resist flexing under lateral cornering loads, while wide circumferential channels and specialized traverse (transverse) grooves channel water rapidly out of the footprint to lower hydroplaning risk and optimize rolling resistance. The tread compound is an adaptable all-season formulation that retains pliability in cool temperatures (below 45°F), providing consistent year-round grip where dedicated summer tires lose traction.

The value case is straightforward: in an ultra-high-performance category dominated by options costing two to three times as much, the Force UHP provides aggressive response, high speed ratings (V, W, and Y depending on size), and modern stance styling for daily-driven vehicles.

Keep two practical ownership notes in mind before purchasing:

1. Warranty Variations: While standard sizes carry 40,000-mile coverage, treadwear terms vary on select low-profile or staggered fitments, so verify the specific rating for your exact size.

2. Winter Boundaries: As an all-season tire without 3PMSF severe snow certification, it manages cold pavement and light slush but is not built for packed snow or ice.

Low-profile performance tires show inner-shoulder wear rapidly if suspension alignment strays out of spec. Verify alignment immediately upon mounting and rotate every five thousand miles where fitments permit.

Best-suited for: Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Dodge Charger, Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Kia Optima.

Tire Best Features:

• 40,000-mile limited treadwear warranty on standard replacement fitments.

• Asymmetric performance tread design balances high-g cornering bite with wet traction.

• Traverse grooves and wide channels optimize water evacuation and lower rolling resistance.

• Cold-weather adapted compound maintains grip in cool temperatures where summer tires harden.

• V, W, and Y speed-rated options with extensive size coverage for large-diameter aftermarket wheels.
