GT Radial Maxtour LX 225/60R16 98H BSW

GT Radial Maxtour LX Product Description

This listing is for new . Manufacturer part number: AS203.

The GT Radial Maxtour LX is a long-life touring all-season tire engineered for sedans, coupes, crossovers, and minivans. Backed by an impressive 70,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, it serves as a compelling value-tier alternative to premium touring tires, delivered by a brand with an established replacement-market presence in North America.

The engineering focuses on highway quietness, ride compliance, and long-term wear uniformity. Its tread architecture features four wide circumferential grooves with independent shoulder channels that swiftly evacuate water to prevent hydroplaning on wet highways. To combat cabin drone, GT Radial uses harmonically optimized tread pitch sequencing that disrupts sound resonance over rough asphalt. Traction in cool weather and light slush is sustained throughout the life of the tire thanks to full-depth siping, which keeps biting edges functional down to the treadwear indicators rather than disappearing at half wear.

Set expectations accurately: this is a comfort-tuned touring tire designed for daily commutes, school runs, and highway trips, so steering response will feel softer than that of a dedicated ultra-high-performance tire. Additionally, while its compound stays pliable in cold temperatures, it does not carry 3PMSF severe-snow certification; light snow is fine, but packed ice requires dedicated winter rubber.

To reach the full 70,000-mile potential and prevent shoulder feathering—the leading cause of pattern noise as touring tires age—rotate every five to seven thousand miles, maintain cold inflation pressures strictly according to your vehicle placard, and check wheel alignment upon installation.

Best-suited for: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Elantra, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Pacifica, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V.
