Accelera Iota ST68 Product Description

This listing is for new Accelera Iota ST68 235/45R20XL 100W BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 1200055976.

The Accelera Iota ST68 is an ultra-high-performance (UHP) all-season tire built for large-diameter wheels on SUVs, crossovers, and performance sedans. It serves as a compelling value alternative in a big-wheel category where premium options often cost two to three times as much.

The tread design focuses on high-speed stability and wet performance. The center pattern utilizes three interlocked block lanes that maintain continuous contact with the asphalt, delivering precise steering response and confident straight-line tracking. For wet weather, wide main circumferential channels work alongside specialized ramp-shaped "exclamation" sipes, which slice through surface water film to enhance wet braking grip and reduce hydroplaning risk. Most fitments carry an XL (Extra Load) rating with V and W speed capabilities, providing the structural reinforcement needed for heavy SUVs riding on short, unforgiving sidewalls.

Its UTQG treadwear grade is 400, which provides an honest indicator of its design intent: unlike touring tires graded 700 and above, a 400 grade denotes a grip-first compound where extreme longevity is traded for traction and accessible pricing. Owners consistently report a quiet, settled ride at highway speeds—a key priority for large-wheel applications.

Two practical points to review before purchasing: treadwear warranty coverage varies by specific size, so check the terms for your exact fitment. Additionally, as an all-season tire without 3PMSF severe snow certification, it handles cold wet pavement and light slush but is not engineered for deep ice or packed snow.

Because large-diameter, low-profile fitments show inner-shoulder wear quickly if suspension angles deviate, check wheel alignment immediately upon installation and rotate every five thousand miles where fitments permit.

Best-suited for: Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe, Dodge Charger, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Explorer, Chrysler 300, GMC Yukon.
