The NAMA NM627 is a heavy-duty radial ST (Special Trailer) tire in load range G (14-ply rating). It is for heavy travel trailers, fifth wheels, car haulers and equipment trailers that need more load capacity than load range E or F provides.

Load range G is the important number here. The ST235/80R16 carries a 129/125 load index, which is 4,080 lbs per tire in single fitment. It has an M speed rating (81 mph), above the 65 mph limit of an ST tire with no speed symbol.

A 14-ply tire carries its full rated load at a high inflation pressure. Pair it with wheels stamped for that pressure and run the pressure load range G calls for, and you get the full load range G capacity.
