Michelin Primacy A/S 255/45R21XL 106W BSW

Michelin Primacy A/S Product Description

This listing is for new Michelin Primacy A/S 255/45R21XL 106W BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 10048.

The Michelin Primacy A/S is a premium touring all-season tire for sedans, coupes, and crossovers, engineered explicitly for ride refinement and whisper-quiet cabin comfort. Backed by a 55,000-mile limited treadwear warranty on replacement fitments, it is chosen as Original Equipment (OE) on leading modern vehicles where acoustic isolation is paramount.

Where the Defender line is engineered around maximum mileage per dollar, the Primacy A/S focuses on driver and passenger comfort. The tread design features a solid continuous center rib that maintains constant road contact for precise steering response and straight-line highway stability. For year-round safety, the tire carries an M+S rating, utilizing advanced siping and circumferential grooves that deliver strong wet braking and light snow traction that holds up as the tread wears. Michelin’s contact-patch engineering distributes acceleration, braking, and cornering forces evenly, lowering rolling resistance to maximize fuel economy and preserve electric vehicle range.

The internal decision matrix within the Michelin family is straightforward:

• Choose the Primacy A/S if cabin quietness and a compliant ride on large-diameter wheels are your top priorities.

• Choose the Defender 2 if you want the longest possible mileage warranty (80k miles) and maximum tread life.

• Choose the CrossClimate2 if you require 3PMSF severe-snow certification for harsh winters without swapping seasonal sets.

Keep two warranty conditions in mind: Michelin treadwear warranties expire six years from the date of purchase regardless of remaining mileage, and treadwear mileage coverage is halved on staggered fitments that cannot be rotated. Rotate every five to seven thousand miles to maintain even wear.

Best-suited for: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Lexus ES 350, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Sonata, Tesla Model 3, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5.
