The Hankook Dynapro evo AS (RA21) is a high-performance all-season tire for luxury and performance SUVs on 19-inch to 22-inch wheels. It is for drivers of premium SUVs who want sharp, quiet, sedan-like handling and real wet braking.

The compound is high in silica with high-performance resins. Silica keeps the rubber gripping on cold, wet pavement, and Hankook says the compound stays flexible in cold weather. Under the tread, two reinforced steel belts with an extra top layer hold the tread flat at high speed. That is what the W and Y speed ratings demand (168 and 186 mph). 3D sipes lock adjacent block faces together, so the blocks stay stiff for braking and steering while still adding biting edges. Hankook reports 3% shorter dry braking and 6% shorter wet braking than the segment leader it tested against. Its UTQG is 540 AA A. AA is the top traction grade, earned in wet braking.

For a quiet cabin, Hankook widened the lateral grooves on the inner shoulder and narrowed the outer shoulder to cut high-frequency cabin noise. Every size is XL (Extra Load), the right construction for heavy luxury SUVs. It carries a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty.
