Megagrip is a commercial tire brand marketed and distributed through Unicorn Tire Corporation, a North American tire distributor based in the United States. Developed specifically for the commercial transport market, Megagrip focuses on medium commercial truck and bus radial (TBR) tires engineered to meet U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Manufactured under global ISO-compliant quality management systems, the Megagrip lineup includes dedicated steer, drive, trailer, and all-position tread models (such as the M800 and M801 series). Built with high-tensile steel belts, wear-resistant tread formulations, and stone-ejecting groove geometry, Megagrip tires deliver load stability, uniform wear, and retreadability for commercial fleets and haulers.
The load index (LI) is a 2- or 3-digit number that correlates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximum load of 1,201 lbs. In this particularly example, 4 tires (each with a load index of 87) can carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum load index.
