Centennial Dirt Commander M/T Tires

The Centennial Dirt Commander M/T is a mud-terrain tire for pickups, Jeeps, and SUVs, built for drivers who want maximum off-road traction and an aggressive stance at a budget price.

The construction is serious for the money. A three-ply sidewall handles rock and root impacts and lets you air down for trail traction, while raised upper shoulder lugs wrap onto the sidewall to deliver extra biting edges and puncture protection in deep mud, ruts, and loose sand. The tread utilizes massive center blocks paired with wide voids and open shoulder grooves to create a non-directional self-cleaning pattern. This geometry rapidly evacuates mud and ejects stones rather than packing solid and going slick on the trail.

Be honest with yourself about the category. This is not a daily-driver tire. A mud-terrain of this depth is loud on pavement, gets louder as it wears, costs you fuel economy, and does not stop as short on wet roads as an all-terrain. There is also no mileage warranty on this model, which is normal for mud-terrain tires but worth knowing before you compare it against an all-terrain's 60,000-mile coverage. Centennial does cover manufacturing defects, materials, and workmanship.

If you buy it, buy it for the reason it exists: real off-road traction and a wide, aggressive stance for less money than a name-brand mud tire. Have the set road force balanced rather than spin balanced, re-torque the lug nuts after the first fifty to a hundred miles, and rotate every five thousand miles to slow the shoulder chopping that makes any mud tire loud.

Best-suited for: Lifted Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Ford F-150 and F-250, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2500, Ram 2500, Toyota Tundra, Jeep Grand Cherokee. Drivers most often choose the Dirt Commander M/T in 35X12.50R20, LT275/70R18, LT285/75R16, LT285/70R17 and 33X12.50R20.
