The construction is what sets it apart. Be clear about the category before you buy. A true mud-terrain is loud on the highway, gets louder as it wears, costs meaningful fuel economy, and will not stop as short on wet pavement as an all-terrain. Mud-terrain tires in this class generally do not carry a treadwear mileage warranty, though Cooper covers manufacturing defects and materials.

If you run it, run it right. Have the set road force balanced rather than spin balanced, re-torque lug nuts after the first fifty to a hundred miles, rotate every five thousand miles, and consider a more frequent interval if you air down often on technical trails.
