The Kumho Road Venture HT52 is a highway-terrain all-season tire for pickups, SUVs and crossovers. It is for drivers who stay on pavement and want a quiet, long-wearing tire that still handles winter roads.

Kumho backs it with a 75,000-mile limited treadwear warranty on P-metric sizes and 50,000 miles on LT sizes. The UTQG is 820 A A. The 820 treadwear grade sits near the top of the highway category, the first A is wet braking traction, and the second A is the best heat resistance grade. Four circumferential grooves move water out of the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. Zigzag and 3D interlocking sipes add snow grip while keeping the blocks stiff enough to wear evenly. Kumho says its new polymer compound with silica improves tread life by 10% over the previous generation.

The question that sets this tire apart is winter. It carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, so it has passed a tested severe-snow traction standard. That is rare for a highway tire, and a real step up from an M+S-only all-season. For noise, Kumho uses chamfered tread edges and tie bars between blocks to cut pattern noise. If you tow or haul heavy loads, choose the LT sizes.
