Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 285/45R20XL 112Y BSW

Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus Product Description

This listing is for new Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 285/45R20XL 112Y BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 15578640000.

The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus is one of the benchmark ultra-high-performance all-season tires, built for sports sedans, coupes, and EVs that need real grip without swapping tires twice a year. Its UTQG rating is 560 A A.

The DWS letters molded into the shoulder stand for Dry, Wet, and Snow, and they wear away in sequence as the tire ages. That is a genuinely useful feature: when the S disappears, the tire has lost its snow capability, and when the W goes, its wet performance has dropped off. You know where you stand without measuring tread depth. Wet braking and wet handling are where this tire consistently outperforms its price class. This is driven by Continental's SportPlus Technology, which utilizes wide circumferential grooves and lateral sipes to resist hydroplaning while maintaining cornering stability. Because it is a standard pneumatic tire and not a run-flat, it is significantly quieter and more compliant over broken pavement than the stiff factory tires many premium sedans come with.

The most common complaint online is tread life, and it is worth understanding before you buy. The treadwear warranty is up to 50,000 miles on non-staggered setups but only 25,000 miles on staggered rear fitments, because a staggered rear tire cannot be rotated front to back and wears far faster. Most owners on square setups report 40,000 to 50,000 miles. The owners reporting 10,000 to 15,000 miles are almost always running heavy, high-torque cars with aggressive factory camber, and the fix is an alignment check when the tires go on plus rotation every five thousand miles. It is also not a winter tire and is not 3PMSF certified. If you face packed snow and ice regularly, run a dedicated winter set.

Best-suited for: BMW 3 Series and M3, Audi S4, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Tesla Model 3, Genesis G70, Honda Civic Si, Volkswagen Golf GTI.
